I finished my bachelor studies in the field of Marketing with a minor in Psychology from Mahidol University International College, Thailand.
I started my study in Tampere this autumn and I could say that Finland has not disappointed me. The city is close to nature and very welcoming and the quality of education here is beyond impressive. I am hoping for more foreign students to come and experience the uniqueness of Finland like I am doing now.
Aayush Jaiswal, Åbo Akademi University
I am Aayush Jaiswal from India, a master’s student in Chemical Engineering at Åbo Akademi University. I love the world of technology and the study environment in Finland provides me a playground where I can toy with ideas and work on developing them into innovative technologies. Outside work, I play football, home-brew beer, write blogs and read poetry.
I was searching for universities in Europe to undertake a research-based internship while pursuing my bachelor’s degree in India and found Finland to be interesting place to apply to. I got a fully-funded internship at Åbo Akademi University in summer of 2016 and after getting impressed by the research facilities here, I decided to apply for a master’s starting from fall 2017.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my working and studying experience in Finland and I wish to make other students aware of how outstanding place this is for obtaining education.

After working as a teacher in an international school in Thailand for two years, I decided that I need to pursue my dream of becoming a better and more well-rounded educator. Coming to Finland has been a life-changing experience for me. Being exposed to new cultures and taking part in the unique educational system, I will always be thankful for this great opportunity. This might sound cliché, but it is absolutely one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

I chose Finland for its globally famous educational excellence, and I wanted to learn from the “best teachers in the world”. My expectations were far exceeded thanks to the exceptionally high quality of trainings, support and educational programs for students. Uyen Nguyen, University of Eastern Finland
My name is Uyen Nguyen and I am from Vietnam. I am currently a first year master’s degree student in English Language and Culture at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF). The reason I decided to apply to be a Finland University Student Ambassador is that I want to pay it forward.
