Learning Outcomes

The objective of the MPH degree programme is to educate top-level experts for different fields and positions in the public health related sectors. The programmes’ graduates will be able to apply academic knowledge in both national and international contexts. Research training is amongst the key strengths of the programme. The courses in the MPH degree programme include public health, public health nutrition, health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, research methodology, international health, public health management and policy, and training to strengthen intercultural competence.

We train professionals of various administrative and research positions from all over the world. Many of our alumni are currently working in highly demanding Jobs in ministries of health, universities and other important institutions in their home countries.

Contents of The Programme

We apply interdisciplinary approach in public health education and research. Our fields include: health promotion, community health, epidemiology focused especially in non-communicable diseases, public health nutrition, international health, public health care and management, cross-cultural issues and health.

Teaching language is English.

Availability of The Programme

The programme is interactive and teaching is organized in small groups. Skilled academic staff apply student centered learning methods and eLearning in modern teaching environments.

Target Group

The programme is directed towards those interested in philosophical, epidemiological, social, behavioural and environmental aspects of health. The programme is appropriate for individuals working in all levels of social and health care and social insurance administration. Educational background suitable to pursue Master’s level studies in Public Health are medicine, public health, nutrition, health related sciences, economics, political sciences, social sciences, behavioral or cognitive sciences, environmental sciences.
